here are two significant styles of furniture featured in the courses to learn woodworking skills - the British vernacular tradition which fits in loosely with the styles of the Arts and Crafts movement and the American tradition of the Shaker communities. Both have clear simple designs which are elegant and functional. They have the added advantage of being relatively simple to make.

he core of the woodworking courses will involve furniture making but not exclusively so. My experience at the Greenwood Trust has equipped me in the use of green, i.e. unseasoned, small diameter timbers.

e want you to learn woodworking skills in a friendly and welcoming environment. Should you require it, accommodation is available ( double bedroom with bathroom) or if you prefer, there is ample parking for a caravan or camper. Breakfast and a light lunch is included in the tuition fee.
